In the last weeks Macedonia has suffered many tragic flooding’s. These flooding’s have cost the life to already more than 20 people. The Dutch government proposes to provide a large stock of medical supplies for Macedonia. The government of the Balkan country has submitted an application, after the floods which have caused an emergency.
"The devastation in some areas is enormous, cuasing a shortage of medical supplies. It is therefore important to get that short-term arranged, to deteriorate the future situation, "
says Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Ploumen.
Currently there are twenty pallets ready for departure. This involves life-saving items such intubation sets, fixation equipment, oxygen masks, blood pressure, gastric tube sets, insulation blankets, tourniquets, and connect equipment for adults and children. The cargo has a total value of over half a million. The road transport to Macedonia will depart Tuesday afternoon and arrive Friday.
